Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. ACA, ACCA qualifications are preferred
- Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in financial reporting and accounting, preferably in a multinational company (with exposure to FX translation) or External Audit experience couple with Industry experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including UK GAAP and US GAAP
- Experience managing financial reporting for international legal entities, particularly in the UK and US
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
- Experience in General Ledger systems (Peoplesoft, Oracle) and systems implementation
- Understanding of Indirect and Direct Tax
- Prior experience managing a team is preferred

What the job involves
- As a Finance Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting and accounting functions for two legal entries in the United Kingdom and one in the United States
- Additionally, you will oversee a small operational finance team, which includes cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Monitor and review general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Manage the month-end and year-end close process for the assigned legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with tax advisors to prepare and file tax returns
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and comply with external reporting for each entity
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
- Manage external audit and prepare accounting papers for different committees as required (Finance Reporting Committee, Board of Directors, Compliance committee, Risk Committee etc..)
- Perform UnderwriteMe Group function and provide oversight to the Singapore Branch and Australian company
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
- Manage the operational finance team, including cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to streamline financial operations
