Role
Who you are
- We're looking for someone who is ambitious and wants to develop and progress quickly in a fast-growing company
- Someone who has recently qualified in ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience including involvement in a month end process with cost analysis, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations (particularly prepayments and accruals), providing operational analysis and business partnering experience
- A higher education degree is required, ideally in a Finance related discipline
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving ability
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
- Experienced using Xero or similar accounting software is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with the Google Suite of products is an advantage
- Strong organisational skills, proven experience meeting and beating deadlines
- Self Motivated and driven, comfortable questioning things, and eager to learn and thrive in a high functioning team
- A strong communicator with the the ability to influence others with effective, clearly, and concise communications
What the job involves
- As a Finance Business Partner at Blink, you will be an integral part of a small but impactful global finance function, building scalable finance processes
- Reporting directly into the Head of Finance, this role would be perfect for someone who wants to fast track their career by gaining exposure across all aspects of finance within a commercially minded team
- Running our month end close to deliver high quality management accounts to senior members of the business
- Build and maintain our budgeting and forecasting processes to inform and underpin our company strategy
- Improving the operational efficiency of our finance function through running quarterly projects, with a focus on automation
- Analysis and interpretation of business costs, providing insights throughout the business
- Finance business partnering with other departments to add value
- Preparing the weekly cash flow forecast, and working with the FC on fund allocation
- Building and using PowerBI to make analysis more efficient and meaningful across a variety of teams within the business
- Ad Hoc reporting and analysis
- Involvement in our year end Audit, including assistance with consolidation of accounts
- Task management of bookkeeper and junior finance team member

Blink’s particular approach has been to try to create a user interface, and functionality, that caters both to asynchronous activities as well as real-time information, the idea being that front-line workers are most likely not going to be looking at the app continuously throughout the day, so the priority for making sure important things surface when they do is especially higher.
Blink was founded in London — where it has found strong traction with metropolitan bus networks and the NHS (where thousands of frontline workers in clinical and nonclinical roles are on Blink).
Now Blink is HQ’d in New York in an attempt to focus on the U.S. market. There are an estimated 2.7 billion people working on the front line according to the company, so there’s a fair amount of room for growth despite an increasingly competitive landscape with well-funded projects like Justworks, Workplace from Meta and When I Work.
