Who you are
- Join us as our Senior Software Engineer and help build the future of mission-driven giving!
- Weāre looking for a highly capable Senior Engineer who thrives in early-stage environments and enjoys owning complex problems end-to-end. Youāll work closely with our Head of Engineering, CEO, and cross-functional squads to design, build, and scale the core platform powering EverGive
- This isnāt a ājust ship ticketsā role. This is a role for someone who takes pride in architecture, delivery, and enabling the whole team to move faster. Youāll lead by example on code quality, enforce best practices, and make thoughtful technical decisions that set us up for scale. From shipping new features to refining developer workflows, youāll help us evolve from early product-market fit into a platform trusted by charities and donors worldwide
- 5+ years professional engineering experience, ideally in a high-growth tech or start-up environment
- Proven track record in building and maintaining production systems with:
- TypeScript
- PostgreSQL
- AWS services(ECS, RDS, S3)
- Node.js
- Nix
- Terraform
- React
- Strong grounding insoftware design principles and architectural patterns
- Demonstrated ability toimprove workflows, coding standards, or delivery processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - you value clarity, especially in documentation and cross-team collaboration
- Passion for EverGiveās mission and curiosity about Bitcoin as a force for good
Desirable
- Familiarity withinfrastructure-as-code(Terraform, AWS CDK, etc)
- Previous experience in astart-up or fast-paced environment
What the job involves
- Schedule:Full-Time, FTC 2-3months
- Reporting to:Head of Engineering
- Own end-to-end deliveryof complex features and technical initiatives with minimal oversight
- Enable the teamby identifying blockers, unblocking them quickly, and ensuring predictable, steady delivery
- Champion code qualityby setting and enforcing modern coding standards and ensuring all code meets agreed quality levels
- Drive architecture discussions and decisions, identifying long-term risks and opportunities for the platform
- Continuously improveperformance, tooling, workflows, and overall developer experience across the software lifecycle
- Document with clarityso technical knowledge is complete, accurate, and useful for internal and external stakeholders
- Enforce best practices across the team, including:
- Automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
- Dependency and toolchain upkeep
- Codebase health and disciplined refactoring

EverGive, is a giving platform that aims to disrupt traditional fundraising by building a Bitcoin-powered reserve to benefit charities in the long term.
