Role
Who you are
- A strong technical background (software engineering, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or similar)
- Experience working in customer-facing technical roles (e.g. Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Technical Consultant, Site Reliability, etc.)
- Comfort working across APIs, data pipelines, cloud platforms, or distributed systems
- Ability to understand complex business or operational workflows and map them to technical solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
- Clear communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership in ambiguous situations
- Experience with supply chain, logistics, energy, or industrial domains is a plus but not required
What the job involves
- As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you’ll work directly with customers to deploy, configure, and adapt Streamba’s platform within their real-world environments
- You’ll spend time understanding how customers operate, translating complex operational challenges into practical technical solutions
- You’ll work hands-on across deployments, integrations, and configuration, collaborating closely with Streamba’s product and engineering teams to ensure customers get value quickly and reliably
- You’ll also play a key role in feeding real customer insight back into the product, helping shape how the platform evolves as we scale
- Work directly with customers during deployment, onboarding, and expansion to ensure successful adoption of the Streamba platform
- Own the technical interface between customers and Streamba’s engineering teams
- Configure, extend, and adapt platform capabilities to deliver customer-specific use cases
- Translate customer requirements into clear technical specifications and implementation plans
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in live customer environments
- Lead or support pilots, proofs of value, and new feature rollout with customers
- Provide structured feedback to product and engineering teams based on real customer usage
- Help shape internal tooling, deployment processes, and best practices as the role evolves

Streamba’s big data platform, VOR, brings together real-time data from logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and inventory, forming a powerful hub of collective intelligence for the global oil and gas supply chain.
VOR was built by Streamba to help companies save time and money by letting them track vessels, machinery, and equipment quickly and accurately. Its technology is based upon the massively scalable, big data software used by Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, but applied to serve oil and gas. VOR can provide equipment location, where it has travelled from, where it should be and where it is going, saving the time and money that comes with gear going missing. Additionally, it can send alerts when re-certification is due, advise on transport methods, and reduce the chance of missing payments going unnoticed.
Streamba has ambitions to drive the industry to become ten times more efficient and effective, and its laser focus on heavy industry supply chains puts it in a good position to do just that. The positive reception of VOR is allowing Streamba to scale up its ability to deliver impact to global operations, including hiring additional talent into its teams.
