Consumers are becoming more aware of their pets’ dietary requirements and overall health as they spend more time with furry companions. Edgard & Cooper is a purpose-driven cat and dog food brand that taps into market trends for healthier, humanised pet food by providing dry food containing only natural, nutritious ingredients and fresh meat. Its product is boosted with healthy extras and gently cooked with minimal process to retain maximum nutritional value.
The company has strong environmental and ethical values at its core and in 2022, the company gained B Corp certification. Through its charity, the Edgard & Cooper Foundation, 1% of all sales are donated to international pet welfare projects and more than €1M has been made available in this way for charitable purposes to date. It also works hard toward sustainability goals; all of its packaging is made from 100% biodegradable and bioplastic materials.
Recently, General Mills acquired Edgard & Cooper, marking a huge step in the brands growth. With its founders staying on and General Mills' resources behind it, Edgard & Cooper is set to expand its reach and strengthen its position in the premium pet food market.
