Finance Officer, Plend

• As a Finance Officer, you’ll be working alongside Sytrus, our dedicated finance partners, as well as working with our CFO. You’ll be responsible for daily cash reconciliations, making sure Xero is accurate and up to date, processing payroll, weekly invoice runs, and generally making sure our invoices are tracked and accounted for
• You’ll work alongside Sytrus and the CFO to maintain and improve our financial forecast, taking part in vital work that ensures our path to profitability is being properly tracked and assessed
• You’ll also work with our debt partners to track money movements between wallets, managing the monthly, weekly, and daily amounts of funding needed to originate our customer loans, as well as ensuring we’re keeping the correct amount of funds needed to service our monthly/quarterly interest payments
• You’ll have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a finance role, preferably in a fast paced startup environment or lending company, but not essential
• We’re looking for a self-starter with a keen eye for detail who’s eager to learn and grow in the role. It’s a great opportunity to learn from a network of experienced finance operators, while giving yourself the opportunity to grow the role and rise to a more senior position quickly
• Relevant accounting qualifications
• Experience with Xero

Desirable

• Working under, and learning from, our fractional CFO, who has a wealth of industry experience
• Working with Sytrus, our dedicated finance and accounting partner
• Working with our annual audit partners to complete company audits accurately and on time
• Processing Payroll and Pension, running weekly invoice payment runs
• Tracking creditors and suppliers to ensure no invoices are missed
• Monitoring cash movements between SPV bank accounts for funding of loan portfolios
• Ensuring our debt facility partners are paid their monthly or quarterly payment of interest, calculating the interest due, running any currency exchanges that are needed, and
• Monitor all regulatory thresholds, ensure you understand the criteria provided by lenders and regulators for capital and cash reserves
• Working through unreconciled transactions to ensure Xero is accurate and up to date
• Various cash reconciliations between systems (LMS & GoCardless, Modulr & GoCardless)
