Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate marketing and communications, within the technology industry and preferably within AI and data space
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful corporate marketing and communication strategies that drive brand awareness, support business growth and build a strong corporate reputation
- Expert storyteller. Take the past, the present and future facts and be able to weave into an inspirational story with the goal of securing a strategic outcome
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of professionals across both professional and executive levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner
- Strong communication coaching skills
- Proven experience leveraging new marketing and communication channels and techniques to drive meaningful results
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing relationships with media outlets, industry analysts, and other key influencers
- Proven issues management skills. Cool and calm during potentially intense situations. Deep understanding of and a track record of managing communications around sensitive issues
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred

What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Communications to lead our strategic marketing initiatives and effectively communicate our company story to key stakeholders. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that align with Uniphore's business objectives
- Strategic Leadership: In partnership with the CMO, drive the development and implementation of Uniphore's corporate marketing and communications strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall company vision and goals
- Branding and Positioning: Define and strengthen the Uniphore brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all marketing and communication channels
- Thought Leadership: Establish Uniphore as a recognized industry thought leader through the development and execution of innovative content strategies
- Public Relations: Manage relationships with media outlets, industry analysts, and influencers to secure positive coverage and increase Uniphore's visibility in the market
- Analyst Relations: Collaborate with industry analysts and product marketing to ensure positive positioning in market reports, drive favorable perceptions, and develop strong relationships
- Internal Communications: Develop and implement internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement, alignment, and advocacy for Uniphore's brand and vision. This includes planning and executing company meetings, advising HR on manager communications/training, and overseeing all employee communications via email, internal company website, company celebrations, etc
- Executive Communications: Provide strategic guidance and counsel to senior executives on their public communications. Work closely with the CEO’s Executive Communications Director on counsel. This includes evaluating invitations from industry event organizers, vendors, partners and other stakeholders. Provide speaker coaching prior to approved opportunities including prepping executives for company all hands or other strategic meetings (internal or external)
- Customer Marketing: Build a focused program that becomes the central hub for how Uniphore leverages customers across the marketing and comms function. This will include developing and delivering a value proposition for Uniphore execs/sales to communicate to customers so they will want to be included in media articles, blogs, podcasts, speaking opportunities, analyst reports, executive briefings, etc
- Content Marketing: Establish and execute an effective content marketing plan including content standards, repeatable processes, content re-use plans, metrics and editorial calendars across the global marketing team. Content will be used across corporate, product, vertical and regional marketing campaigns
- Reputation management: Provide communications counsel and guidance for reputation-impacting events. Prepare official statements and responses as warranted and act as company spokesperson if needed
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing corporate marketing and communications team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities

Uniphore builds software that helps customer support centers to automate their processes with analytics and AI-powered improvements. Traditionally, call centers have relied on human training and manual processes, an expensive route to scale, so Uniphore helps businesses in this position by driving efficiencies (and cutting costs), whilst helping those businesses to scale during spikes in demand.
Uniphore also provides an array of analytical tools, which enable businesses to drill down into their customer service operations, and better understand where they can deliver more effectively. A series of acquisitions, such as that of no-code customer experience platform Jacada, have contributed to further expanding its suite of offerings.
With the conversational AI space already worth billions and growing, Uniphore operates in a lucrative market, and the company has received good levels of funding in the past. Though not immune to the poor economic conditions of late, the recent acquisitions of Red Box and Hexagone demonstrate that Uniphore is still in a good position. Being named a leader in the 2022 Opus Conversational Intelligence Intelliview report will only help solidify its reputation as a leading force in the space.
