Role
Who you are
- You must be a 2nd year undergraduate student at a UK University undertaking an accredited placement year or currently working in one of our URBN stores
- You must be available for 1 year full time from July 2026 until July 2027
- A passion and enthusiasm for the URBN brands and what we represent
- Ability to multitask, effectively manage workload and to work to deadlines and targets
- Understanding of and ability to work within principles of equal opportunities, data protection and with regard of confidentiality
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to be creative with tools such as Canva, Powerpoint, Adobe
- Good user knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook packages
What the job involves
- This role sits in URBN, our shared service function within the HR & Talent Department. URBN supports and works across all brands (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie & Free People) within Europe Retail
- This is an exciting opportunity to gain first-hand experience in all things HR & Recruitment in a dynamic and creative environment
- Throughout this 12-month placement, you will be given the opportunity to maximise your potential with stimulating work and inspirational colleagues
- Provide admin support across HR, Learning & Development & Recruitment teams
- Support with the employee lifecycle (new starters, leavers, contract changes etc.)
- Complete references
- Conduct right to work checks
- Assist with creating and developing business-wide communications that captivate and engage URBN employees
- Participate in ad hoc HR, Learning & Development & Recruitment projects with the team
- Attend careers fairs to help attract talent to URBN
- Support with Assessment Centres & Work Experience Programme
- Assist the team in producing monthly reports and managing trackers
- Manage and respond to queries in the HR Inbox
- Coordinate the preparation of training courses and events (booking rooms, arranging equipment, etc.)
- Manage the HR team intranet page
- Assist with benefits admin
- Research into new, competitive rewards and benefits
- Contribute fresh, new ideas to inspire and excite our people
