Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphics, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of industry experience designing for Enterprise SaaS products
- Experience leading UX strategy and product discovery efforts at lean startups
- Skilled user of product design tools like Figma, solid experience with JIRA, and proficiency with user tracking and analytics tools like Mixpanel
- Curious, resilient, and eager to learn. You take feedback well, stay adaptable, and keep a professional, positive attitude
- Effective verbal and written communication for internal and external audiences
- Ability to travel to client sites (up to 25% of travel in the first year)
- Preferred: previous healthcare technology experience, previous Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning product experience, previous revenue cycle experience, experience with React front-end framework and Ant
What the job involves
- We are disrupting Healthcare with inspired, AI-powered software products for Revenue Cycle teams
- As a Product Designer, you will own the end-to-end experience design of our products to create incredible experiences for our users
- You will work closely with our cross-functional Design and R&D teams to deeply understand our users needs and design and implement the visuals in our product UIs to meet those needs
- Make an outsized impact on AKASA and the future of healthcare
- Work on some of the most challenging and valuable problems facing Americans
- Grow rapidly with a top-flight healthtech company as it scales
- Own design for a full product area, shaping the experience end-to-end and tracking how it performs over time
- Work side by side with product managers and engineer partners to bring ideas from concept to launch
- Spot opportunities to make the experience better, set clear UX goals, and help balance them with business and engineering priorities
- Learn from our users through interviews, shadowing, and research, and share those insights broadly across the organization
- Build and test prototypes, learn quickly, and refine your designs based on what you discover
- Keep design quality high while staying flexible and focused on what matters most
- Lead workshops, share what you learn and design, and help teams stay aligned as we grow and build together
