Who you are
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, management consulting, strategy working in a large business, or building a growing startup. Ideally with multi location experience or managing teams across different locations and time zones
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements, emphasizing scalability and business performance enhancements
- Proven Track record of leadership in a fast paced scale up/growth environment where the ability to react and motivate the teams quickly is paramount, particularly during seasonal variations in volumes
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in using data to identify challenges and priorities, developing a plan to achieve goals. Excel/Google Sheets skills necessary, SQL knowledge advantageous
- A great project manager who can break down problems into parts and solve problems using process and/or product improvements
- Ability to create detailed execution plans for large-scale and complex projects
- Attention to detail balanced with swift execution
- Emotional resilience in fast-paced, high profile, and ever-changing situations
- Seeks to build relationships with external job seekers and internal stakeholders and perceive challenges from different viewpoints
- Bachelor's Degree (MBA or relevant Master's degree a bonus)
- KPI-driven, collecting and analyzing operational, SQL, and Salesforce data
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace software suite
- Highly proficient with utilizing several tools to enable real-time collaboration with a globally distributed workforce such as Miro, Monday, Salesforce, Google Meet, Zoom, Slack, etc

What the job involves
- The main purpose of the Operations Director role is to manage operations across multiple states and to develop strategies needed to support our expansion into further locations across the United States
- This role requires hiring, managing, and leading a team and building and fostering strong cross-functional relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization
- Leadership - develop the strategic direction of the Client focussed teams in both the UK and the USA to create alignment and effective structures for success, including the appropriate environment for the teams
- Leadership- lead and manage several teams focussed on the delivery of service to our clients and ensuring achievement against company OKRs and department level KPIs
- Shift Delivery - Manage the Operations team to ensure bookings are consistently filled and the delivery experience meets the expectations of our clients and internal stakeholders
- Data - Use analysis to improve shift fulfillment conversion, reduce no show and empty rates, raise team productivity, and inform business decisions & processes
- Problem Solving - Continual development and optimization of processes to solve day-to-day team and business challenges
- Process improvement-Lead and execute initiatives to pinpoint and rectify inefficiencies across the department
- Proactively address operational challenges, problem-solve while ensuring solutions are scalable and sustainable
- Project management and execution - Identify the highest value opportunities to focus on, then plan and execute in a dynamic, complex environment
- Expansion - Lead the investigation, strategy, and execution of our Expansion
- Product - Collaborate closely with our product team to test and roll out new features or products that improves the job seeker and client experience
- Performance monitoring- develop effective reporting metrics that can demonstrate the success of any new product through efficiency gains, volume increases or smooth workflows, including the use of self service tools for clients and flexors
- Stakeholder management - Working closely with the Country Leadership teams to develop and implement collaborative strategies for growth and service delivery

It will need to continue to attract top part-time talent to ensure its continued success, and its partnerships with the likes of Branch, offering same-day payouts for workers and other incentives, will no doubt draw in users.
