Accounting Manager, Healthie

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration (or equivalent business experience)
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience
• Experience with both leading teams and being hands-on across all accounting functions
• Experience overseeing tax matters and coordinating with external tax preparers and advisors
• Experience overseeing external audits and working with internal teams to document and put in practice recommendations from those audits
• Expert in Microsoft Excel with demonstrated experience building and working with advanced models
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Healthie is hiring an Accounting Manager and as our first Accounting hire at Healthie you will play a key role in improving internal controls and enhancing the Month-End-Close process
• Reporting to the VP of Finance, the role will be crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Lead and streamline the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve the overall control environment
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in accounting and financial reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
• Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning
• Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and standards, ensuring the company's financial practices remain in compliance and audit readiness
• Review and preparation of quarterly sales and use tax filings
• Work closely with other teams,to ensure financial processes align with overall company goals
• Providing mentorship and guidance to their direct reports, helping them develop their skills in their career
• At 3 months, success in the role looks like:
• Full ownership of of Month End Close, Quarter End Close process
• Providing guidance to any stakeholders who have questions about A/P and A/R
• Mentoring our Finance Associate and helping him further his skills in accounting
• Be able to prep Financials with appropriate commentary
• Be able and flexible to tackle ad hoc Financial requests from stakeholders
