Who you are
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or related
- Must have 1 year of experience with the following: working with Python, SQL, Java, C/C++ and Javascript
- Must have 1 year of experience working with relational and non-relational databases including Postgres, MongoDB, Data modeling and database designing
- Must have 1 year of experience working with Cloud service platforms including AWS and management tools including EC2, S3, Lambda, and IAM
- Must have 1 year of experience building, optimizing and maintaining high performance ETL pipelines and applications from scratch
- Must have 1 year of experience working with data visualization tools including Plotly and Streamlit and computational and data manipulation packages including pandas, sk-learn, statsmodel, and cvxpy
- Must have 1 year of experience applying knowledge of basic Machine Learning models including CNN, LSTM, SVM to sentiment analysis functions
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering team
- Help scale the company’s proprietary database and build data processing and validating pipelines
- Implement data security, authentication and access management measures of the company’s proprietary database
- Apply knowledge of computational and data manipulation packages as well as Relational Databases and Database Design
- Build and maintain ETL processes and apply knowledge of cloud computing and storage services
- Help implement and build recommendation systems that improve our product and user experience
- Collaborate with the Software Engineering, Product and other functional teams
