- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on AWS cloud-based solutions
- 5+ years of proven expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- 5 + years of experience with orchestration tools (e.g. , Airflow, Step Functions), CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)
- Strong experience in sql, data modeling, performance tuning, and leveraging structured data (e.g parquet)
- Familiarity with typescript
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. , Terraform)
- Experience with dbt
- Experience with open table formats like delta lake, iceberg
- Experience working on Linux Systems and command-line tools
- At ease within the open-source environment

- You'll be instrumental in maintaining data pipelines and collaborating across the company, all while using a diverse set of technologies
- Build and maintain key analytic tools and provide data driven insights to our stakeholders
- Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts
- Able to successfully lead large, complex systems design and implementation challenges independently
- Build data expertise and leverage data controls to ensure security, compliance, data quality, and operations for allocated areas of ownership
- Cloud Platforms & Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform
- Data Stack: dbt, Trino, Apache Airflow, Lightdash
- CI/CD & DevOps Tools: Jenkins, Git, Teamcity
- Programming & Scripting Languages: Python, Typescript, Go

The company uses a single database for workforce management and financial management to offer integration and optimize business intelligence across companies. It has added to the packages and tools it offers over the years, providing analytic options that allow companies to combine third-party data with information collected by Workday.
