Role
Who you are
- An ambitious Software Engineer using agentic workflows as a massive lever for engineering velocity
- While you use modern AI tools to accelerate code generation, your core strengths lie where LLMs fall short: system architecture, rigorous code quality, security, and complex debugging
- You thrive on fast, secure, consistent deployments and have a data driven mindset
- Extensive experience going through the full feature development life cycle: Working with product managers, deciding scope, designing data models and pipeline architectures
- Proven fluency in using agentic coding tools like Cursor AI and/or Claude
- 5+ years of engineering experience, an expert in Python and SQL Development
- Experience designing, building and launching backend architectures that support multi-tenant, multi-user scenarios through pipeline performance and data quality checks
- Ability to remain agile and move between rapid prototyping and stable production development
- Ability to write technical design documents, perform code reviews, and maintain state of the art engineering practices
- You know the critical questions to ask in order to understand a client’s business problem and can show the business impact of your technical solutions through data
- You have crisp written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively correspond between technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent collaboration skills and are open to giving and receiving critical feedback across teams
- You have an eye towards analytics and helping to enable data driven decision making
What the job involves
- You will be in the driver’s seat as we design and deliver the entire systems for our growing line of AI solutions
- Orchestrate High-Velocity Workflows: Leverage advanced agentic coding tools (e.g., Cursor, multi-agent environments) to dramatically accelerate feature prototyping, code generation, and test coverage
- Own the Guardrails & Quality: Act as the ultimate reviewer and architect; define the specifications, establish repo-context guardrails, and review AI-accelerated output for hidden security risks, scale bottlenecks, and architectural alignment
- Build Scalable Application and Data Layers: Design, build, and maintain our data pipelines and application to service our hundreds of users
- Bridging the Data: Partner closely with product, client services, and data science teams to transform raw pipeline outputs into meaning
- Drive Greenfield Engineering: Take complete ownership of designing, building, and launching enterprise-grade applications, moving fluidly between rapid prototyping and bulletproof production systems

EvolutionIQ is a data-driven claim guidance platform for insurance providers. Its products combine structured and unstructured claim data with external third-party data to provide powerful claim guidance, aiming to modernise the claims operations process.
The company's offering is certainly an attractive one for businesses handling large volumes of these claims - the solutions aim to help insurance providers detect and prevent fraud without impacting their productivity and customer experience. Historically, the insurance industry has had access to vast amounts of data without optimising its use. EvolutionIQ's machine learning algorithms harness the learnings from every data point, enabling much more well-informed, actionable insights.
In 2024, CCC Intelligent Solutions acquired EvolutionIQ, which will continue to operate as a standalone company. Following a successful VC funding round, it reached a valuation of over $200 million and is now focused on further product development and international expansion. Off the back of this, it hopes to capture a larger slice of this $10 billion market.
