- Collaborative Team Player: You enjoy working as part of a team, collaborating with Account Executives, Marketing, and other stakeholders to drive results
- Persistent & Resilient: You are not discouraged by setbacks; you have a growth mindset and view challenges as opportunities for learning
- 1-2 years of success in a BDR, SDR, or similar sales development role, in a SaaS or technology environment, preferably working with prospects in the manufacturing or related industrial sector
- Experience with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce to manage leads and track activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create relevant, personalized outreach
- Familiarity with AI tools and their use in a sales context is a strong plus
- Understanding of the manufacturing sector or interest in learning about the industry is a plus
What the job involves
- The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for creating meetings and generating pipeline for our Account Executives
- This role involves crafting relevant messaging based on Amper's inbound leads and marketing signals to connect with potential customers
- You will play a key role in initiating relationships with new prospects and setting the stage for successful sales conversations
- Pipeline Generation: Develop and execute strategies to generate meetings and pipeline through outreach to inbound leads and marketing-qualified signals
- Messaging & Outreach: Create and deliver personalized messaging to prospects that resonates with their challenges and highlights the value of Amper's solutions
- AI Tools Utilization: Leverage AI tools to optimize outreach strategies, improve messaging relevance, and enhance prospecting efficiency
- Collaboration with Account Executives: Work closely with Account Executives to ensure high-quality handoffs, supporting them in targeting key accounts and aligning on sales strategies
- Inbound Lead Qualification: Engage with and qualify inbound leads, ensuring they meet the criteria for further discussions with the sales team
- CRM & Data Management: Maintain accurate records in CRM tools, such as HubSpot, ensuring that all prospect interactions are logged and updated regularly
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices in sales development, and new technologies, especially AI-driven tools, that can improve your outreach
Our take
Global supply chain constraints have only accentuated the pressure on manufacturing shop floor managers to avoid every possible minute of downtime. That pressure to avoid losing money has driven demand for real-time analytics of manufacturing machinery, which Amper hopes to help with.
Amper’s IoT technology enables a self-installed industrial monitoring solution for manufacturing managers. The company prioritizes ease-of-use for its customers, allowing them to set up their devices in minutes and monitor their machines from an intuitive dashboard. The vision for the startup is to go beyond the monitoring of relatively basic machinery metrics and build out a holistic IoT-based ‘FactoryOS’.
The challenge for the startup will be competing in a crowded IoT market. Having said that, its proven ability to quickly adjust its strategy has helped it gain solid funding. The fact that Amper's technology shifts to fit the real needs of its customers will surely stand it in good stead as it expands its horizons.
