Who you are
- We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative, insights-driven people leader to lead our integrated marketing function
- Proven track record of building and executing integrated marketing programs and campaigns. 10+ years of experience preferred
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and motivate diverse teams
- Expertise in cyber-security, cloud and IT infrastructure, or related fields that require selling to IT and security professionals is preferred
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making
- Expertise working in a global capacity and working with regional field marketing and sales teams
- Adept at utilizing customer research, market research, and other available data to develop actionable insights that fuel marketing strategies and messaging
- Demonstrated ability to get projects across the line using strong project management skills paired with a bias for action
- Adept at operating with a high degree of accountability and ownership
- Working knowledge of key marketing tech and how it can be used to provide strategic advantage
What the job involves
- This is a highly visible and strategic role within marketing and responsible for global integrated program development
- In this critical role, you will organize, direct and provide the leadership as teams develop and execute attention getting go-to-market programs to achieve stated growth targets and objectives across our portfolio of products and services
- Leverage current understanding of key market conditions, consumer developments and competitive set on assigned brands
- Collaborate with Sales and Regional Marketing leaders to understand regional needs, nuances and market conditions
- Initiate on-going data driven analysis and identification of key opportunities that will drive growth and strategic advantage. This includes but is not limited to competitive research, customer perception studies, closed won/loss analysis, funnel health analysis and message testing
- Translate business goals into marketing objectives, target and and key metrics that will guide teams during planning and as programs are executed in-market. Define program budgets aligned to targets in close collaboration with channel owners (paid media, email, webinar, partner, SEO, content, social, events, field, etc.)
- Provide guidance on segmentation - Identify and develop target personas definitions and rationalize use across channels. This includes both target personas and priority accounts
- Oversee and work closely with Integrated team members to distill all known information into a cogent, concise, and inspirational brief document that serves at the jumping off point for planning
- Guide the team in developing an integrated marketing plan, including across channel execution, with clear timelines and expectations for program development and campaign planning
- Work with marketing leadership and other stakeholders to gain alignment and approval of plans of record for execution
- Work closely with Analytics and functional teams to forecast impact of propped efforts in alignment with established goals
- Identify and develop a Program Learning Agenda and Measurement Framework
- Oversee and support the orchestration of program and campaign execution across a broad cross functional group
- Guide communication of the programs and performance to Executive Stakeholders and Regional Leadership
- Work closely with Brand and Product Marketing to align on the final in-market messaging framework, key messages. working to ensure brand and message consistency across surfaces
- Work closely with channel owners and analytics to examine performance, identify drivers of performance, and optimize programs to exceed stated goals
- Leads a team of integrated marketing managers to develop a best-in-class capability
- Supports the growth and development of your direct team but also marketers generally
- Be a front line leader providing leadership and guidance cross-functionally and across the business
- Helps set and raise the bar for what ‘great’ looks like
- Work with the integrated marketing team to set the pace and rhythm for campaign and program operations. From defining processes, to overseeing brief reviews, to setting expectations for deliverables, to reporting on business impact
- Develop and evolves the functional operations, looking for ways to systematically improve operations and ‘how we make work’ on an ongoing basis
Our take
Cybercriminals are now leveraging the power of automation to make the current threat landscape too advanced for a lot of legacy antivirus software. SentinelOne is a cybersecurity company that matches this automation, with machine learning-focused software that is built to help businesses battle online attacks.
The company expanded the scope of its business from the endpoint security market to three markets valued at a combined $30 billion, including the corporate endpoint security and IT operations management markets. This gives SentinelOne a bigger potential customer base, although also puts them in direct competition with more focused cybersecurity companies, in addition to its biggest competitor, CrowdStrike.
When the company went public, it made financial headlines as the highest-valued cybersecurity IPO ever, which gave SentinelOne a market cap of $10B, though it's now fallen to around $4B. It has subsequently launched S Ventures, a $100M fund, through which SentinelOne invests in cybersecurity startups and has expanded its partnership with major tax firm KPMG to accelerate cyber investigations and responses to threats.
