Role
Who you are
- 3+ years experience in a Lifecycle or email marketing role at a B2C or B2SMB company, with a preference for those with SaaS experience; strong preference for experience at a high-growth company with a self-serve funnel and a range of customer sizes
- Proven success at increasing conversion rates and messaging engagement via lifecycle campaigns
- Experience with and understanding of lifecycle experimentation including A/B and multivariate testing
- Strong domain knowledge of email, push, in-app, and SMS marketing channels
- You’re comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative data, spotting red flags, and working with colleagues to design and launch lifecycle programs that address them
- Experienced with Iterable & Hubspot preferred (similar mobile-first marketing automation software, like Braze/Customer.io, also accepted), Looker and/or Tableau, Mixpanel/Amplitude, strong fluency in SQL a major plus
- Knowledge of HTML & CSS for email
- Excited about using AI to increase productivity and campaign performance
What the job involves
- As the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving increased conversion & customer engagement for GlossGenius users and prospects
- You will develop campaigns targeting customers at all stages of the customer journey, including lead nurture campaigns, personalized and triggered flows to optimize our feature launch communications and drive word-of-mouth and lifecycle communications
- You'll report to the Senior Manager of Lifecycle Marketing and must be commutable to our NYC office
- Design and execute feature release campaigns that drive word-of-mouth and referral
- Design and execute lead nurturing campaigns that guide SMB and solopreneur buyers through our sales funnel
- Design and execute lifecycle marketing campaigns that improve conversion & retention
- Showcase the value of our platform to potential GlossGenius buyers through relevant and personalized messaging
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, sales, paid marketing, organic social, and more to create and execute campaigns that achieve business objectives and deliver measurable results
- Become a customer engagement expert specializing in email marketing, customer journeys, personalization tactics, and cross-channel strategies
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to identify, track, measure, and optimize the success and impact of our lifecycle marketing programs
- Provide regular reporting and insights to key stakeholders on program performance

Business management platforms exist for a wide range of industries, including retail, hospitality, and healthcare. However, despite a modern facade the beauty industry lacks specialised software and still runs on generic CRMs and basic spreadsheets. Recognising a gap in the market, GlossGenius has stepped in to provided a specialised business management platform for beauty salons, spas and studios.
With no competition in this niche, GlossGenius has swiftly captured a large market share, with triple-digit year on year revenue growth. It serves over 40,000 businesses (70% of which are women-owned) and has more than $2 billion in annual transactions on the platform.
GlossGenius has raised a large amount of capital in several funding rounds closed in quick succession. It is aiming to accelerate platform development off the back of its releasing of consumer experience, payment and automation products. It is well on the way to fulfilling its long-term aim of developing into the Toast of the beauty industry.
