• Reporting to the Group Audit & Conduct Investigations (GA&CI) Chief Operating Officer, you'll work with the Chief Internal Auditor and Executive Team to proactively identify emerging or horizon risk, in order to recommend and mobilise an urgent response
• Key to success will be collaborating with leaders across the function and in the business, to rapidly mobilise and deliver professional, independent and outcomes focused assurance, thereby influencing the effectiveness of the overall control environment
• A rapid response may be deployed against any business area or risk discipline, so it is essential that you're able to demonstrate the ability to bring together diverse points of view and co-ordinate an effective response in unfamiliar areas
• The role holder will apply deep business insights and understanding of key risks relevant to business strategy to influence management’s decisions with credibility and drive new ideas to deliver impactful audit reports
• You'll be an expert in audit delivery, and when not overseeing an urgent response, will work to upskill and improve the audit delivery performance of the whole function. In order to do you'll build trust, respect and confidence among colleagues across GA&CI to foster strong relationships and higher levels of collaboration
• The role includes management of a small team of direct reports, and access to resource from all Audit teams including the Business Risk, Finance, Change, Tech & Data Risk pools, as well as the Models and Data Science centres of excellence and co-source providers in order to deliver the assurance needed
• As part of the GA&CI COO Leadership team, you'll also contribute to the direction and leadership of strategic change for GA&CI, working closely with the Head of Operations, Talent & Strategy and the Head of Quality, Methods & Platforms
