Role
Who you are
- Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript and NestJS
- Proficiency in React
- Experience working with databases and backend integrations
- Familiarity with AB testing frameworks and data analysis tools
What the job involves
- Our Tech Platform designs and builds internal tools used across the whole company
- Their mission is to improve engineers’ experience by standardizing our processes, tools, and libraries
- You will collaborate closely with other engineers at Tabby, our internal teams, and product stakeholders to create scalable and efficient solutions
- Develop and maintain user-facing components and applications
- Focus on building and optimizing UI elements for internal tools
- Assist in backend development for projects that involve interaction with databases and services
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a reusable component library used across the organization
- Work on tools used by other developers and employees to improve internal workflows
- Work on product-specific features like AB testing tools, including backend components (admin panel, analytics)
- Support the development of a dashboard providing clear insights for top management and support teams
- Build and maintain a payment widget ensuring it meets business requirements and is reliable under heavy usage
Our take
Buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) purchases have been rising in popularity for years, with a number of companies springing up to facilitate split-payment shopping. Tabby is one such company, offering Shariah-compliant buy-now-pay-later options through its mobile app, meaning consumers can shop at a range of stores and split their purchase between four interest-free payments.
For stores, using Tabby means offering their customers more flexible payment options, no matter the purchase channel, which can positively affect store loyalty and boost repeat purchases. They also gain access to the hundreds of thousands of shoppers already using the app, as Tabby runs co-marketing campaigns with its retail partners.
Managing upwards of $6 billion in transaction volume annually, and boasting the likes of Shein, Ikea and Adidas amongst its clientele, it is clear that Tabby is doing something right. It has secured a substantial funding round ahead of a planned IPO, and plans to invest in continued expansion of its financial services and shopping products.
