What the job involves
- You’ll be the sole product designer, working directly with the CEO, a PM, and an engineering team to bring clarity and simplicity to a complex fintech product
- You’ll take rough problem areas and drive them end-to-end: shaping the problem, exploring solutions, pressure testing assumptions, and ensuring the solution comes to life
- We ship quickly so you’ll help raise the bar without slowing the team down
- Take ambiguous problem areas and turn them into simplified solutions
- Inject product thinking into fast-moving conversations
- Proactively seek out customer perspectives to inform your decisions
- Challenge assumptions with clear rationale
- Design flows across payments, underwriting, capital, and fintech infrastructure
- Use modern AI-native tools (v0, Loveable, etc.) to explore interactive ideas
- Partner tightly with PM and engineering to make pragmatic tradeoffs
- Empower the team to ship quickly and iterate in the wild
- You won’t just make things look better - you’ll ensure they make sense
- Real ownership over a large product surface area
- Ability to meaningfully influence a fast-growing fintech platform

Our take
The complications of payments within the trucking and transportation industry are immense, with drivers and companies having to deal with fees, spending limits, and credit scores every day. Drivers must also frequently deal with the costs associated with repairs, insurance, and road tolls, and this can quickly become difficult to manage for both drivers and employers.
AtoB is setting out to change this. The company develops payment infrastructure for trucking and transportation industries, providing drivers with fuel cards that offer truck stop and gas station discounts, without service fees or credit score checks. In addition to these employee benefits, the company also provides fintech solutions for transportation employers to track their drivers' transactions, set spending limits, and gain insights into financial inefficiencies.
There has been growing investment into digitising the transportation sector, which makes for a competitive market. That said, AtoB has raised impressive funding which will support the expansion of innovation efforts and its continued growth.
