Role
Who you are
- A degree in a STEM field
- We are open to recent graduates or professionals with 1–2 years of experience
- Proficient in Python and SQL, particularly for ETL/ELT workflows
- Familiarity with data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake)
- Bonus: experience with orchestration tools such as Dagster or Airflow
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and hands-on mindset
- Effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate well with cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English
- You can work from Paris or remotely, with occasional visits to our Paris office (Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role)
What the job involves
- The Tech and Data team at Kovalee builds the platform that powers smarter decision-making across user acquisition, product, and creative, driven by data
- We’re looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join this team and help us scale our data infrastructure, streamline data workflows, and ensure reliable data delivery across the organization
- Design, build, and maintain ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) workflows and integrate data from multiple sources
- Monitor data pipelines and proactively troubleshoot data quality or processing issues
- Collaborate with data consumers (e.g., data scientists, business teams) and data producers (e.g., external vendors, internal development teams) to ensure reliable data flow
- Support the automation and development of tools to enhance data workflows and efficiency
- Continuously learn and apply industry best practices in data engineering and cloud-based technologies
