Who you are
- If you're passionate about applying AI to real-world problems and scaling intelligent systems, we’d love to hear from you!
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Experience: At least 5 years in software engineering, with a proven track record of deploying AI (preferably LLM-based) solutions in production
- Proficiency in Python or Ruby
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Experience with LLM techniques, including prompt engineering
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning algorithms
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team and drive the development of AI-powered financial products and features
- In this role, you will design and maintain AI infrastructure, optimize machine learning models, and integrate cutting-edge LLM solutions into production
- AI Strategy & Innovation: Help drive Kikoff’s AI strategy by influencing technical and product decisions and proposing AI-driven solutions to business and user problems
- AI Infrastructure & Operations: Design, build, and maintain robust AI infrastructure, including data pipelines, model deployment, and monitoring
- Technical Evaluation: Assess and select AI/ML tools, frameworks, and vendors to enhance our capabilities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate AI models into production systems
- Model Performance & Optimization: Continuously monitor, evaluate, and refine deployed models to meet accuracy and efficiency goals
- Experimentation & A/B Testing: Design and execute experiments to optimize AI and product performance and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation

Having a solid credit history is a fundamental building block for financial health and there is a large market of people looking to build or rebuild their credit scores. Roughly half of all American adults have subprime credit or no credit whatsoever, and it’s safe to say there is a demand for credit products tailored to beginners and builders.
Kikoff is a credit-building platform aimed at Millennials and GenZ. Their signature product helps consumers without a credit history to positively influence several key aspects of their credit score. This includes their payment history, how much they owe, and the length of their account history.
Kikoff's goal is to help customers across their entire financial journeys and create a simple and positive banking relationship: from stabilizing cash flows to accumulating savings, and building towards long-term goals such as a mortgage. The company plans to build out its technology and team, across all function areas, to bring new products to market in the future.
