What the job involves

- Drive operational excellence at Vertice
- You will report directly to Matt, VP Finance, and together you will identify and execute key strategic and operational initiatives for Vertice
- When you first join, this will include some People specific projects already identified, including managing the team
- Identify, lead and deliver on function specific and company-wide projects that contribute meaningfully to Vertice’s immediate and future success
- Champion and lead significant People projects (e.g., running performance cycles, partnering functional leads to define pay & progression frameworks)
- Work with the Executive team, including the Founders, to create compelling content for key audiences like investor presentations, board meetings, and all-hands
- Establish new international entities (e.g., Australia), coordinating with legal teams and communicating with employees to facilitate smooth expansions
- Attract top tier talent to the business by any means necessary, becoming the go-to sounding board for the Executive team and playing a key role in all senior hiring
- Plan and execute major company events (e.g., company offsite, new London HQ)
- Lead and empower our experienced People team (6 people in UK and Brno)
- Lead and represent Ops when Matt is unavailable, ensuring continuity & leadership
- Be a culture carrier for the broader Ops team, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment and acting as a role model for others
- This is a rewarding role in a fast-paced environment with high expectations
