Role
Who you are
- This position requires an advanced proactive mindset, deep technical skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment
- 6+ years in a security analyst role
- Advanced hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms (e.g., Datadog, Splunk), EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike), and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus)
- Extensive incident response experience, including leading the investigation, containment, and remediation of complex security incidents
- Deep familiarity with supporting Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu endpoints
- Strong understanding of APIs and their security implications, particularly for vendor security assessments
- Strong grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, proxies, SD-WANs, SSH) and an advanced ability to interpret complex logs and system telemetry
- Expert ability to analyze logs from EDR tools, cloud consoles, and email headers to identify indicators of compromise or policy violations
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and common platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities independently and guide team priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced certifications such as GIAC GCIH, OSCP, CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Responder (CCFR) or CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Administrator (CCFA) are highly desirable
What the job involves
- We're looking for a Senior Security Analyst to join our corporate Security Operations team and take a leading role in securing our internal corporate systems and infrastructure
- This role is critical in protecting our company's employees, data, and assets from sophisticated cyber threats
- You will be responsible for leading a wide range of security activities, including proactive threat hunting, incident response management, vulnerability prioritization, and vendor risk strategy

- Lead the monitoring and analysis of security alerts from various sources (SIEM, EDR, network logs) to investigate and triage complex security incidents
- Proactively hunt for threats and analyze system logs and network traffic to detect advanced anomalous behavior and indicators of compromise (IOCs)
- Lead the response to significant security incidents, including phishing campaigns, managing the full lifecycle of containment, eradication, and recovery
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis for incidents and develop comprehensive recommendations to prevent recurrence
- Oversee the documentation of the incident response lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Drive the vendor security risk review process, critically evaluating the security posture and compliance of new and existing third-party services
- Oversee the vulnerability management program, including performing regular scans of corporate systems
- Analyze scan results, prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and business impact, and work with IT leadership to drive timely remediation
- Lead the testing and validation of security policy updates across tools such as CrowdStrike, FortiDLP, BeyondTrust, and Okta
- Design and pilot automation workflows and policy rollouts
- Develop and maintain internal documentation, including configuration guides and security best practices
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute significantly to the development and delivery of security awareness training for all employees

Law is a big industry where a lot of money is spent, but it has been largely untouched by technology until recently, leaving a big opportunity. Testament to this, the company was able to expand to Australia and New Zealand following a partnership with Australian e-discovery provider Adio. It continues to deliver new features such as "AI Deep Dive" which lets legal teams uncover and verify key evidence from documents.
The company is also pursuing growth for its Everlaw for Good Program, seen at the 2024 Equal Justice Conference in Detroit. That year, it appointed its first program director as it works to dismantle barriers to justice for low-income Americans and marginalised communities in need of legal representation. It now has over 225 participating organizations.
