• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s OR PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, MIS or other other technology related fields
• Passionate about what you do and care deeply about the things you build
• Able to clearly communicate with team members
• Natural curiosity for learning new technologies
• Some familiarity in JavaScript
• This role is targeted at university students who are seeking a 6 month placement from Jan-Aug 2025 as part of their degree programme

• You will be working with highly motivated and extremely talented engineers on the e-commerce front-end team, which will strive to deliver a quality and performant front-end experience for users using Shutterstock
• The e-commerce front-end team is responsible for delivering a best-in-class front-end experience
• While delivering a feature-rich and performant website the team leverages the latest in front-end frameworks and strives for clean, reusable and elegant code solutions
• The application itself caters for rapid experimentation while focusing heavily on stability and customer satisfaction
• Participate in all aspects of the services under the team’s ownership, which includes design, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and uptime of the services
• Participate in the code review process, paired programming
• Work alongside engineers, product managers and designers on the development of the services under the team's ownership
• Building the technology the right way: for us, this means simple, well-tested systems that gradually grow over time, and that provide plenty of insight into production performance
