HR Manager, Nimble Robotics

• 4–8+ years of HR experience, including time as an HR Business Partner or similar role
• Experience working in a tech startup or high-growth environment
• Strong knowledge of performance management, employee relations, and employment law
• Proven ability to influence and coach leaders at multiple levels
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes from scratch
• Excellent communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Must be able to get to work locations in SOMA, SF daily and South San Francisco as needed

• We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to work closely with leaders and teams across the company to scale our people practices as we grow.
• In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to managers, helping drive performance, culture, and engagement while building HR processes that support a fast-moving tech startup environment
• Partner with founders and leaders to align people strategies with business goals
• Coach managers on performance management, team development, and leadership skills
• Support org design, workforce planning, and team scaling initiatives
• Oversee and improve processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, development, performance, offboarding)
• Act as a point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent practices
• Drive employee engagement, feedback, and retention initiatives
• Support goal setting, performance reviews, and continuous feedback processes
• Identify talent gaps and partner with leadership on succession planning
• Collaborate with recruiting to ensure strong hiring practices and team fit
• Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local labor laws and regulations
• Maintain and improve HR documentation, policies, and processes
• Partner with payroll, benefits, and external vendors as needed
• Own the partnernship with our legal team ensuring swift communication with Nimble's employees seeking guidance on immigration status
• Help shape and scale company culture and values
• Support change management during periods of growth, restructuring, or transformation
