Role
Who you are
- Spent the last 2+ years exceeding a sales quota in a closing role
- Experience selling SaaS to business units and key personas that include CMOs, VPs, & Directors
- Experience with a $750k - $900k annual quota
- Experience with average deal size: $35k - $100k+
- Experience running sales cycle of 90-365+ days
- Forecasts business accurately on a monthly / quarterly basis
- Establishes healthy three month rolling pipeline of 3x quarterly quota
- Is a trusted advisor to peer group and helps others be successful
- Proven ability to close multiple opportunities within a given month
- Maintains accurate, up to date SFDC data
- Successfully collaborates with internal resources to help progress deals
- Works well with XDR and SE team
- Illustrates desire to learn and grow in the role by asking for feedback and be coached
- Experience using MEDDPIC is a plus
What the job involves
- Salsify is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and driven Account Executive, handling new business with demonstrated previous success in SaaS and solution selling
- As an Account Executive, New Business at Salsify you will take our Product Experience Management (PXM) solution and your love for closing new logos to build an effective pipeline and add to our current client base of over $2.5 billion revenue
- Account Executives are responsible for taking a strategic sales approach to finding and winning new accounts with the most well-known brand manufacturers in the world
- We have found that the most successful Account Executives are masterful storytellers who can weave a complex solution into a simple solution to connect with brands and optimize how they are navigating the ever-changing e-commerce landscape
- Salsify is seeing incredible success and our Account Executives are key drivers in Salsify’s continued new logo acquisition on the national and worldwide stage
- We are seeking those high achievers with a love of adding a new logo to their roster who continue to set the bar and are true evangelists in their sales approach and follow through
- Consistently meet and exceed assigned quota associated within net new business
- Manage executive-level relationships and speak to multiple stakeholders across the customer’s hierarchy
- Hunt for opportunities to grow the customer base and demonstrate the value of our SaaS offering to these brands
- Work cross-functionally within Salsify to ensure customers are continually getting value out of the platform, engaged and digital thought leaders within their space. Some groups that Account Executives frequently work with are, Customer Success, Product, Sales Engineering and Marketing
- Ensure customers become Salsify advocates and secure their approval to help with reference calls, marketing activities, conference speaking engagements, industry references, etc
Our take
Salsify provides eCommerce retailers with a single platform to keep tabs on inventory, and unify and enrich product content descriptions used at all points of sales. The company can also manage customers’ journeys through data analysis which can allow for more personalized, engaging messaging.
As the retail world shifts more towards eCommerce, brands have to give more consideration to the customer’s digital experience from first impression to purchase. This proves challenging as each route to sale differs from the next, which in turn creates the need for a stack like Salsify.
It’s not the only company of its kind, with the likes of Salesforce and Contently having products with similar functions, but Salsify is performing strongly and has an impressive set of customers on its books including Coca-Cola and Mars. Having raised substantial funding, the company reached unicorn status in 2022, with investment cited to enable Salsify to deliver on its vision to serve as the global system of record and work for digital commerce experiences.
