Who you are

5+ years of Software Engineering experience with deep knowledge of Ruby
5+ years of experience on an Infrastructure/Platform team
3+ years of experience working with a cloud provider such as AWS
Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform
Proficiency with relational databases such as Postgres
Experience with best practices in handling integrations with 3rd party vendors (error handling, API Interface development)
Ability to compare technical approaches and share your findings with stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Git, GitHub, and development using pull requests
Experience with Service Oriented Architectures
Ability to collaborate in the office weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Partnering with the rest of the Product and Data engineering teams to ensure they have the tools and abstractions necessary to build and run great software. This includes
Maintaining and extending the Ruby service that manages our infrastructure
Working closely with product engineering teams to ensure that our tooling and practices are correctly optimized
Maintaining tooling, pipelines, etc. that support product engineering teams

The company contributes to the reduction of paperwork in an office by turning an array of devices into time clocks that track hours and overtime, while also providing payroll support. This makes it easier for companies to remain in sync, running a more efficient operation as a result.

Given that Homebase's customer base of small businesses is not able to pay a lot for its product, scale is the key driver in the company's future success.
