Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of Sales or Customer Success experience as a quota carrying representative
- 1+ years of experience selling software as a service (SaaS), or a SaaS product
- Proven track record of pipeline development and management, with an emphasis on efficiencies and constant improvement
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced sales environment
- Proven success in the SMB space, or related vertical
- Strong outbound dialing habits and ability to create customer connections over the phone
What the job involves
- As a direct partner to Product, Operations, and Marketing, your insights will inform how Homebase improves our product and processes. Your contributions will set us up to scale rapidly and build this new revenue stream. As one of the early members of Team App Sales, you will help us chart the path for future Homebasers to come!
- Meet or exceed sales targets
- Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, driving customers to conversion using targeted sales techniques
- Proactively target and prospect our existing customer base, as well as handle inbound leads interested in utilizing Homebase for their back office needs
- Guide customers, through the advising sales process, to ensure their use of the product is a success
- Be a team player! We’ll win together and commit to bringing a collaborative attitude to the table every day
- Work closely with the product and marketing teams to provide actionable feedback on the product, customer needs, and potential clients to target
- Partner with our operations team to address and resolve any implementation issues a customer may be facing during the setup phase
- Be open and eager to learn and adapt to changes

Homebase provide employees and businesses with time tracking applications, with a range of other HR functionality built in. Homebase automates the process of managing employee scheduling, and also helps companies improve internal communications.
The company contributes to the reduction of paperwork in an office by turning an array of devices into time clocks that track hours and overtime, while also providing payroll support. This makes it easier for companies to remain in sync, running a more efficient operation as a result.
Given that Homebase's customer base of small businesses is not able to pay a lot for its product, scale is the key driver in the company's future success. With over 100,000 customers already, its significant venture capital backing will ensure that the company will be able to grow (notably it's investing in Canadian talent) to provide its services on a profitable scale.
