What the job involves
- As PR Manager Ireland at bunq, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to make waves in Ireland, where we currently don't have a strong presence yet
- Unlike our strong presence in the Netherlands, these new markets offer exciting potential for storytelling and growth
- You’ll help us spread the word by positioning our company's achievements, products, and services in mass media, and by building strong relationships with reporters in your country
- You’ll be the go-to expert for localizing the global PR strategy in your market
- This is your chance to be a driving force in bunq’s exciting journey of expansion and innovation
- As the driving force behind bunq’s media presence in Ireland, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our influence and sharing our story
- Develop Strategic Media Campaigns: 🎯 Design and implement media relations campaigns that maximize available resources and prioritize creativity over paid solutions
- Build and Maintain Relationships: 🤝 Leverage your media relations experience to establish and sustain meaningful connections with journalists, editors, and industry influencers
- Craft Persuasive Content: ✍️ Write press releases and create messaging in your local language to effectively communicate bunq’s stories and values
- Crisis Management: ️ Proactively manage potential crises by preparing and delivering effective crisis statements with speed and confidence
- Monitor and Respond: 🕵️♂️ Track media coverage, respond to inquiries, and transform challenges into opportunities for positive publicity
- Represent bunq: 🎤 Ensure our presence at key events and awards, thoroughly preparing speakers for success

Our bunq fit assessment takes approximately 20 minutes and includes 2 sections: a culture fit scan and a cognitive abilities test. If we match, we’ll move on to the next test where you'll get to prove your role-specific skills

bunq, a Dutch-based challenger bank,l has quickly positioned itself as a standout player in Europe's banking sector. Unlike many other neobanks, such as N26 and Monzo, bunq grew its team to over 200 employees without relying on outside funding until 2021. It doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon either, with recently making headlines by becoming the first bank in the world to launch real-time speech-to-speech AI translation through its AI assistant, Finn.
