What the job involves
- As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll work with small and medium-sized business owners to help grow their businesses with financing & banking options made with SMBs in mind
- You will focus on closing warm leads interested in Bluevine’s line of credit product and cross-selling Bluevine’s other banking products like checking account, bill pay, etc
- This individual should be willing to hustle, open to learning, eager to close, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- There is great growth potential as our sales organization continues to grow!
- Be a high performer. Consistently hit monthly volume and cross-sell quotas. Meet and exceed daily hustle metrics/activity goals/KPIs
- Make 40-60 calls & send ~100 emails per day to warm leads and approvals
- Manage a pipeline of up to 100 prospects in various stages of the sales cycle, including underwriting review, and closing
- Assist customers through the underwriting process to generate offers that you can close
- Consistently hit monthly volume & booking rate targets
- Provide excellent customer service to newly onboarded clients for their first 30 days with Bluevine
- Serve as a trusted advisor to SMB owners, ensuring that they are connected with the correct Bluevine product
- Act as a conduit between the Underwriting Team and the customer to collect proper documentation to maximize clients’ offer amounts
- Utilize sales engagement tools, lead management software, and CRMs to optimize pipeline management

Our take
Founded in 2013, BlueVine offers a suite of banking services for small and medium businesses (SMBs). BlueVine began as a small business lender, and have since expanded into a small business banking service in late 2020.
Having already loaned billions of dollars with tens of thousands of active customers, BlueVine aims to be the largest bank in the United States for small businesses. While there are over 4,000 banks in the US which are theoretically rivals in this ambition, few of them target the SME market or provide a comprehensive range of financial services to meet their needs.
In 2021 BlueVine appointed Steve Allocca (PayPal, LendingClub, Wells Fargo) as COO. As a small business owner himself, and having worked on SMB-oriented projects at PayPal, his appointment is a smart move as BlueVine moves to net the flurry of new SMBs opening. The company is currently focused on developing its financing products and increasing the range of services available to its customers.
