- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Human Resources and HR compliance
- Experience in payroll support, benefit management or people operations is a plus
- Intermediate knowledge of HR best practices, policies and procedures
- Preferred experience in healthcare or veterinary care
- PHR certification or SHRM preferred
- Operate with high emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills
- Enthusiasm for solution-oriented thinking

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

- As part of our People Support team we’re looking for a People Operations Partner (POP) who’s ready to embrace opportunities to learn, build, and transform the way veterinary care works
- In this role, you’ll Set Our Own Bar as you deliver top-notch benefits administration, streamline immigration processes, and implement data-driven HR solutions

- Whether it’s processing benefit enrollments or building insightful HR dashboards, you’ll aim higher, pushing yourself and others to exceed expectations

- Through HR Help our HRSD, you’ll Communicate with Care, providing timely answers, creating self-serve resources, and ensuring team members feel heard and valued
- In partnership with People Experience Partner, manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
- Maintain accurate records and ensure policy adherence
- Support People Support team initiatives, including building a centralized knowledge base and policy repository
- Design and implement scalable HR policies, programs, and initiatives aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational priorities
- Utilize HR data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and workforce planning
- Optimize UKG Pro for data accuracy, reporting, and workflow automation
- Use data to track key HR metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover) and support strategic planning
- Create and maintain HR dashboards that provide actionable insights to leadership
- Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life, disability), ensuring compliance with ACA, COBRA, and other regulations
- Lead annual Open Enrollment and manage benefit changes, enrollments, and terminations
- Oversee leave of absence processes in partnership with TILT
- Ensure compliance with employment laws through policy updates, risk mitigation strategies, and audits
- Manage state disability documents
- Provide expert guidance on complex compliance matters to leadership
- Lead efforts to streamline and automate HR processes for greater efficiency
- Develop and maintain internal process documentation and self-service resources
- Oversee the HR Service Delivery System (HRSD) to ensure timely, effective support for team members
- Monitor HRSD ticket trends to inform leadership and improve service delivery
- Partner with payroll to ensure timely, accurate processing and regulatory compliance
- Administer the company’s workers’ compensation program in coordination with The Hartford
- Manage the full lifecycle of immigration processes, including visa applications and green card petitions
- Provide guidance to managers and team members on immigration policy, compliance, and trends
