Role
Who you are
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Go and distributed systems architecture
- Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
- Strong understanding of data pipelines and API design
- Familiarity with AI and data processing workflows
- Excellent collaboration and technical leadership skills
What the job involves
- As a Senior Software Engineer on the Location team, you’ll design and build systems that capture, process, and analyze location-based data at scale
- You’ll collaborate with data scientists and product managers to deliver high-performance APIs and data pipelines for internal and client applications
- Design and build backend services and data pipelines for geospatial data processing
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to productionize ML models
- Implement data validation, monitoring, and alerting frameworks
- Ensure system scalability and performance across large datasets
- Partner with DevOps to automate deployments and infrastructure management
- Mentor engineers and lead cross-team technical initiatives
- The Location engineering team develops Python and Scala services deployed on GCP, leveraging BigQuery, Dataflow, and Vertex AI
- The team works closely with Basketview and AI Products to unify location and behavioral data for advanced analytics
