Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns and has deep expertise in retail media networks
- You are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing budgets across multiple platforms
- You understand performance metrics such as NTB, ROAS, TACOS and CVR, and can proactively identify optimization opportunities
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy testing, learning, and iterating to drive measurable growth
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience managing retail media for a CPG company
- Proven track record of driving sales velocity, household penetration, and retail growth outcomes
- Deep expertise across retail media platforms, particularly Amazon Ads and also including but not limited to Walmart Connect and Target Roundel
- Strong understanding of performance metrics tied to business goals
- Experience with Mixed Media Model platforms, incrementality testing, and clean room environments
- Experience partnering with other teams to create strong assets and content that drive clicks and sales on retail channels
- Experience partnering with external media agency
- Deep knowledge of industry trends, platform trends and competitive positioning in the CPG industry
What the job involves
- The Honest Company has kicked off a search for a Senior Paid Media Strategist, Retail Media to support our Paid Media Team!
- This role is responsible for executing and optimizing paid media strategy across retail media channels to drive category-leading growth, new customer acquisition, and brand visibility across priority retail partners
- This role will support day-to-day campaign execution, testing, reporting, and optimization across platforms including but not limited to Amazon, Walmart Connect, Roundel, Instacart and other emerging retail media networks
- Lead end-to-end execution of retail media (search, sponsored products, DSP, offsite + onsite programmatic display)
- Own investment strategy, budgets, pacing, billing processes, and optimization across platforms (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart, etc.), ensuring spending is within plans and accurately reconciling efforts for finance needs
- Drive incremental growth across key retail partners by identifying performance opportunities and continuously improving campaign strategy
- Partner closely with external media agencies, the Senior Manager of Paid Media (Brand), MarComm and Creative team members, Sales, and Category teams to align media plans with JBP priorities, retail moments, product launches, and digital shelf considerations (PDP content, ratings, availability)
- Build and execute test-and-learn plans (creative, bidding, audience, channel mix)
- Lead performance measurement and optimization against internal KPIs including ROAS, NTB%, TACOS, CVR, and other business-driving metrics; responsible for pulling data, analyzing, drawing insights, and clearly communicating campaign results on a monthly and as-needed basis
- Partner with analytics to measure incrementality and true performance impact across retail media investments
- Integrate media with promotions, launches, and shopper marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with Brand to ensure performance-driven, on-brand creative
- Stay informed on platform updates, industry trends, and competitive activity to continuously evolve retail media strategy

The Honest Company was founded in 2012 by Jessica Alba with the simple idea to create everyday products that are safer, gentler, and more transparent about what goes into them. The brand built its reputation on "clean" personal care - things like baby products, skincare, and household items made without any of the harsh chemicals. Because of this approach, it quickly gained popularity with families looking for a trusted, easy-to-understand product.
Over time, Honest has grown into a well-known name in baby and personal care, with products designed for both kids and adults. Its lotions, shampoos and wipes are especially popular for being mild and easy on sensitive skin. In a fun and unexpected moment, even astronauts have taken notice, during the Artemis II mission, astronaut Christina Koch mentioned missing Honest's lotion while in space, showing just how widely love the brand has become.
The company has been going through a bit of a reset though, deciding to step back from selling directly to customers online, choosing instead to focus on retail partnerships and wholesale. This shift is part of a larger plan to cut costs and simplify the business after slower growth. While it means less direct control over how customer shop the brand, it should help Honest become more profitable and focused, leaning into what it does best while relying on big retail partners to drive scale in the future.
