Who you are
- Pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence or related fields with a preferred specialization in natural language processing
- Starting date in June/July 2024
- Experience with designing and training machine learning models and in particular Transformers and LLMs
- Demonstrable ability to work independently and make good decisions with minimal direction
- Strong communication skills (fluent English, both verbal and written)
- Experience working with complex and large text and web data
- Programming skills (Python/C++, bash command-line tools, docker)
What the job involves
- As a Working Student at the eBay office in Amsterdam, Netherlands, you will collaborate with a team of researchers and software engineers using state-of-the-art technologies to tackle the most complex problems in natural language processing and text mining
- In cooperation with the university, you’ll conduct research to improve current models and contribute to prototyping of innovative solutions
- As part of your role you will extract and prepare training data, write algorithms with the goal to improve Large Language Models through optimization techniques, human feedback, etc
