- We are looking for a talented detection software engineer with experience in the linux or/and cloud security domain
- People that can explore new technologies, design and develop from scratch innovative ideas and drive new detection capabilities and infrastructure at scale to our products
- Multiple years of experience as a software engineer, developing complex systems in modern C++
- Proficient in Linux OS architecture and internals
- Previous experience with eBPF
- Previous experience of working on a production-grade product with a wide scale deployment
- Experience with reverse engineering of x86/x64 binaries
- Experience in malware analysis (statically and dynamically)
What the job involves
- We're looking for people that will drive team success and collaboration across SentinelOne
- You will be responsible for detecting the newest malwares and exploits based on SentinelOne’s AI-powered Endpoint platform (EPP/EDR)
- The role includes an end to end responsibility for behaviour based detection capabilities, starting from reversing the samples, designing new methods to detect or prevent those, and incorporating it into the product along with the engineering teams
- You will be developing and using internal research tools, PoCs and discovering new ways to detect/prevent malicious techniques
- Your deliveries will enhance the security of different Linux and cloud workloads platforms protected by our product, that serves thousands of users (from enterprise & public sector clients across the globe, incl. some of the largest companies globally) and hundreds of millions of events daily as part of SentinelOne's security offering
- You will also be encouraged to write white papers, blogs and articles (but only if you wish to)
- Detection Development
- Write tests to cover new detections
- Conduct low level research
- Peer code reviews; Participate in team’s design reviews
- Learn new technologies in the Linux and Cloud workloads security domains
- Support customers with issues and requests within the team’s domain
- You will work on real-world problems and make an impact by protecting our customers from cyber threats
- You will be joining a cutting-edge project and will be able to influence the architecture, design, and structure of our core platform

Our take
Cybercriminals are now leveraging the power of automation to make the current threat landscape too advanced for a lot of legacy antivirus software. SentinelOne is a cybersecurity company that matches this automation, with machine learning-focused software that is built to help businesses battle online attacks.
The company expanded the scope of its business from the endpoint security market to three markets valued at a combined $30 billion, including the corporate endpoint security and IT operations management markets. This gives SentinelOne a bigger potential customer base, although also puts them in direct competition with more focused cybersecurity companies, in addition to its biggest competitor, CrowdStrike.
When the company went public, it made financial headlines as the highest-valued cybersecurity IPO ever, which gave SentinelOne a market cap of $10B, though it's now fallen to around $4B. It has subsequently launched S Ventures, a $100M fund, through which SentinelOne invests in cybersecurity startups and has expanded its partnership with major tax firm KPMG to accelerate cyber investigations and responses to threats.
