Role
Who you are
- You have 3+ years of product marketing experience Proven track record of successfully launching and growing new products and driving adoption
- Experience in educational technology is a big plus
- Experience working with Intercom and Pardot
- You have a strong passion for serving and understanding customers
- You are collaborative: you are at ease working with senior leadership, exec and Product, Sales, Customer Success, Account Management, and Marketing stakeholders regularly
- You are a strong communicator: you are an effective, professional writer and presenter and can tailor your communication style and content to the audienceYou are a leader and have managed people in a prior role
- You have strong analytical skills: you know how to research and develop a deep understanding of Unibuddy customers, their challenges, and how our products uniquely address their needs
- You are a strong project manager and natural leader, and consistently deliver projects independently, on time, and with the utmost quality
- You are proactive: you’re an active listener who can identify areas of opportunity where you and your team can have an impact and jump on those without having to be assigned the work
- You are agile: you are flexible to re-prioritize on the fly without sacrificing attention to detail
What the job involves
- Quickly be able to demonstrate a good understanding of Unibuddy’s products, value proposition, the ideal customer profile, and help achieve product-market fit with our target audience
- Be the expert on our customers - how they buy, their buying criteria, the buyer journey, and their pain points – through product market research and customer interviews
- Create market and competitive intelligence reports for stakeholders across the organisation, and train teams on how Unibuddy differentiates against these competitors
- Collaborate with the commercial teams and product departments to position and differentiate our products to drive growth, adoption, and retention Lead go-to-market initiatives and product launches
- Develop training materials and collateral (including personas) and train internal teams on new products, capabilities, competitors, and other relevant business updates or changes
- Analyse and assess the effectiveness of the programs you’re running on an ongoing basis, and make qualified suggestions to optimise them
- Manage and oversee the workload and impact of the Product Marketing Specialist in the team
Our take
Universities are big, complex institutions that can't afford to invest that much time and effort into their websites. At the same time, universities are facing increasing competition to attract students (it's getting more common to consider apprenticeships, coding bootcamps or go straight into work).
Unibuddy makes it easy for universities to connect with more prospective students to drive applications. Its peer-to-peer setup means the operational effort for the company is low, as current students answer the questions.
Unibuddy has firm goals in mind - partnering up with more institutions internationally to empower more students, grow the size of the company, expand its product range, and above all, Unibuddy wants to be an all-in-one platform - taking care of everything from selecting a programme, to onboarding to post-graduation.
