Who you are

- Strong knowledge of financial products in either traditional or crypto markets
- 5+ years of professional experience, with at least three (3) years in product management or business analysis with a broker-dealer or trading firm
- Hands-on knowledge of the tools, processes, and product features required to support core prime brokerage products, such as OTC services, financing, and settlement
- Experience setting a product vision and developing a product strategy
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholder departments at all levels, presenting trade-offs and framing decisions backed by strong research and analytics
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience working with remote development teams
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate with teams globally and build strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
What the job involves
- The Product team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to build a prime brokerage targeted at our institutional customer base
- You will be responsible for developing and enhancing core products aligned with the company’s strategic goals
- Your role will have a global scope, with high business visibility and impact
- Define a product vision and strategy for building a prime brokerage offering
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to define, design, and release products on time and within budget
- Define business requirements to develop a prime brokerage product offering
- Identify relevant KPIs and metrics to track product effectiveness
- Create the product roadmap and manage the development lifecycle to ensure successful delivery and implementation
- Align product investments with commercial business objectives through a deep understanding of deliverables and organizational needs
- Act as the point of contact and handle escalations for all product, operational, and engineering issues
- Manage trade-off discussions with Engineering and internal teams

Bitstamp was established in 2011 and is the longest continuously running Bitcoin platform, serving over 4 million customers globally.
Bitstamp was acquired by global investment firm NXC in 2017, integrated with Paypal and rehabilitated the assets of fellow legacy bitcoin trader Mt. Gox, which went bankrupt in 2014. All of this exemplifies how Bitstamp, as one of the most mature Bitcoin trading platforms out there, has become a staple of the industry.
Bitstamp is also spearheading the move to address accessibility and trust issues in crypto for those outside of the community. In 2022, Bitstamp set up the Learn Center, a resource centre for those who want to learn about crypto and fintech but haven’t any coding or software development experience. As a legacy player in the field, moves like this will enable Bitstamp to gain more publicity, customers and respect than it already has. A $200 million acquisition by US financial services company Robinhood in 2024 will further bolster Bitstamp's international presence.
