Who you are
- Over 10 years of demonstrated excellence in business development or partnership roles
- Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships, navigate a large partner organization, and drive strategic deals to a close under a tight timeline
- Profound understanding of advertising technology, with specific preference for knowledge of verification, media mix modeling, and outcome measurement solutions
- Proven track record of identifying, securing, and managing revenue-generating partnerships
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Experience, familiarity and comfort partnering with product teams to jointly drive efforts forward
- Strategic mindset with the capacity to translate market insights into actionable strategies
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (MBA preferred)
What the job involves
- The Vice President, Business Development will play a pivotal role in supporting DoubleVerify’s (DV) growth by leading and executing strategic partnerships within the adtech industry
- The VP will be responsible for the expansion of DV’s performance solutions across DSPs, Social Platforms and Streaming Video providers, and will be the primary lead in developing partnerships with AI solutions
- DV has built a suite of performance-focused solutions organically, with DV Authentic Attention®, and through acquisition (Scibids, Rockerbox) and this candidate will be tasked with ensuring these solutions have broad and scalable coverage across the adtech ecosystem
- Beyond this, Vice President, Business Development will be tasked with cultivating and managing other strategic partnerships, including those with data services, platforms and publishers, and will be responsible for negotiating and executing all requisite agreements in concert with DV stakeholders in Product and Commercial to facilitate service expansion and revenue growth
- DV’s Business Development team is a core business unit dedicated to driving unique, value-added partnerships within the adtech community and to ensuring consistent coverage of DV services across all environments
- The Vice President, Business Development will serve as a senior leader on the team helping shape the future growth of DV
- Create and execute business development strategy and roadmap for DV’s performance solutions, working in collaboration with business leaders and stakeholders across the DV organization
- Effectively identify, secure, and manage partnerships with key stakeholders across the ecosystem as required by the business, including with platforms, publishers, and vendors
- Identify and develop new revenue-generating opportunities, building the business case and advocating with senior leadership
- Proactively build and maintain senior-level relationships in Business Development, Product and Executive teams of partner companies
- Adjust prioritization of workload to manage dynamic needs of the business, including ongoing collaboration with DV Product and Commercial leadership
- Represent DV’s value propositions, best practices, and viewpoints with industry associations, events, and amplify through industry speaking opportunities

Since it was first launched, DoubleVerify has successfully carved out an impressive market share, and now boasts customers such as digital advertising giant Facebook as long-time customers. Its success is largely owed to the quality of its technology, which far outperforms that of its rivals. DoubleVerify has consolidated its success by expanding the range of languages its tools support. It has also expanded into new markets such as Australia and New Zealand, a key indicator of the company’s continued growth.
The digital ad space is changing constantly, and DoubleVerify will need to remain as agile and adaptive as it is at present in order to compete with rivals such as Tremor and Quantcast. But with a 2021 IPO, several recent rounds of funding and new product releases, it looks set to tackle its competitors head on and stay ahead of the game.
