Who you are

Proven success as a Technical Recruiter with deep experience in software engineering hiring
Demonstrated ability to source and close highly technical candidates in competitive markets
Understanding of distributed systems, scalable infrastructure, and real-time engineering applied to trading
Comfortable engaging and influencing senior executives and technical leaders
ATS Proficiency: Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking System is required; experience with Ashby ATS is a significant advantage
Baseline knowledge of capital markets hiring dynamics (HFT, Market Making, Quant Trading) is preferred but not essential
Attributes: Detail-oriented, adaptable, proactive, and professional
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance culture

What the job involves

As a Technical Recruiter, you will be responsible for building pipelines of exceptional engineers who can design and scale complex, real-time distributed systems that power our platform and products
You will report directly to our Head of Talent Acquisition, while working closely with our Co-Founders and senior leadership team to understand strategic hiring priorities, shape our approach to talent acquisition, and ensure every hire raises the bar
This role is highly focused on sourcing, relationship building, and execution
We have an established Recruiting Operations (RecOps) function in place to enable our recruiters who handle scheduling, coordination, and administrative tasks
This allows you to dedicate your time to engaging with the strongest talent in the market and driving high-quality outcomes
Partner with the Head of Talent Acquisition, Co-Founders, senior leadership, and hiring managers to understand business priorities and define hiring strategies for software engineering talent
Source, engage, and close engineers with expertise in building scalable, real-time distributed systems
Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify passive talent across competitive markets
Drive the full recruitment lifecycle within Ashby, while leveraging RecOps support for scheduling and administrative needs
Ensure an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Talos’s high standards
Use data and reporting in Ashby to track progress, optimize pipelines, and provide insights to leadership
Serve as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, advising on market dynamics, compensation, and talent trends

So far, the increasing institutional interest in the value of crypto-assets has been stymied by a lack of scaled, efficient, and secure infrastructure that these institutions could use for trade. Talos addresses the problem of digital asset trading between institutions, helping them to securely sidestep these obstacles into a fresh market with potentially huge returns.

The company provides a range of end-to-end, highly configurable tools to populate and facilitate the institutional crypto-asset market from just one platform. Talos' approach is helping to lower the bar for wide-ranging adoption of cryptocurrency, supporting the full lifespan of digital assets trading.
