- You have a number of years of product management experience, ideally in smart grid, energy, automotive, or IoT
- You have experience developing highly-technical backend software features, such as software integrations, data pipelines, or system monitoring tools

- You have owned a product roadmap that balances developing new features, paying down technical debt, and optimizing system performance to drive service quality metrics
- You have strong project management experience, and you can lead cross-functional teams to execute large-scale software migration and integration projects
- You commit to precise product execution, making the right trade-offs between delivery timelines and feature scope
- You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for precisely articulating business problems and breaking down complex functional needs into discrete requirements
- You maintain an owner’s mentality, taking full responsibility for the business outcomes of your products and stepping beyond your core role when needed

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our Hardware Integrations team — the crew who make sure our platform connects seamlessly with EVs and chargers around the world
- This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you’ll define our integration strategy, drive new partnerships with leading vehicle and charger manufacturers, and shape how drivers connect to ev.energy
- You’ll collaborate closely with our engineering and partnerships teams to expand our integrations library, grow our network of supported devices, and unlock new ways to gather data and deliver flexible charging for the grid
- You’ll also represent ev.energy as a subject matter expert in sales conversations and industry discussions, championing our integration capabilities and vision
Our take
Properly managing electric vehicle charging is critical to a low carbon future. With a growing numbers of EV rolling out over the world, ev.energy is tackling the unique set of pain points that exists for EV users.
The company has created an easy-to-use app to support users with each EV charging session. The app optimises and schedules charging times relative to grid demand, helping EV owners avoid peak tariffs, save money, prevent over-congestion on the grid and use the greenest electricity possible.
Strategic moves, such as its most recent partnership with Sense, moved ev.energy into an even bigger role in the energy transition. By helping utilities see and control more of what's happening in people's homes, the company could make EV charging and other home energy assets a much more useful tool for the grid. The opportunity now is turning that technology into something that can scale, and if ev.energy can track the problem of getting more households involved, then its future could be looking very bright indeed.
