Our take

As the property market becomes more competitive, and rent rates continue to soar, more people are being pushed to lie about their financial situation. In fact, it was reported that at one particular major rental reference agency, fraudulent tenancy applications had quadrupled in the two years up to 2024.

This is clearly a prevalent issue, and one which Findigs hopes to address with its underwriting platform for renters and property managers. The idea behind the platform is to make identity checks faster and more widely effective, so that fraudulent applications are rejected while good applications are processed faster.

The platform boasts a range of capabilities, most interestingly its smart recommendations that suggest which applications should be approved - adding an extra layer to its offering. With this, Findigs has the potential to stand out against alternatives, and a fresh round of funding puts the company in good stead to chase further success.
