Role
Who you are
- Strong experience in automation testing, with hands-on use of modern frameworks and tools
- Experience designing, implementing, and executing automated tests across APIs, UI, and integration layers
- A solid understanding of shift-left testing principles, including CI/CD pipelines and embedding quality early in the development lifecycle
- Awareness of non-functional testing, including:
- Performance
- Security
- Accessibility
- Ability to contribute to shared engineering standards, including test strategy, tool selection, and best practices
- Strong communication skills, with experience collaborating in agile, multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience with version control, code reviews, and collaborative engineering practices
Desirable
- Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or similar)
- Exposure to containerisation or infrastructure-as-code
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and operational testing concepts

- Amber Labs Consultancy is seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to support a major public sector client on a 12-month fixed term contract
- You will join a multidisciplinary, agile delivery team working with a public sector client
