Who you are

Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance preferred)
Proficient in data analysis and visualization using Microsoft products (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for senior audience
Experience in transformation and remediation with external regulators and internal audit
Proactive problem-solving
Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple matters simultaneously
Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and global colleagues across control functions and with the Business on key initiatives
ACAMS or similar qualification (preferred, but not required)
Experience in project management, regulatory examinations and successful remediation programs
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

What the job involves

As a member of the AFC Team within DWS AFC and Compliance, the role holder will be involved in the co-ordination of projects related to regulatory exams, internal/external audit as well as general AFC advisory work to support the DWS business in the Americas region
Being part of a global firm, the role holder will also have exposure to DWS Group global initiatives, as well as working with parent company (Deutsche Bank) AFC departments locally and globally to support project work
Support multi-year transformation and remediation initiatives within DWS AFC and Compliance through preparation, tracking, coordination of key reporting metrics used by project steering committees and DWS senior managers
Assist with AFC and Compliance related remediation projects, including organization of interactions with relevant stakeholders including internal/external auditors, finding owners and impacted front office and control function staff
Contribute to US regulatory remediation and other key regional priorities across multiple workstreams
Develop status reports including executive presentations to program and senior management
Track the review and challenge of program deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues
Support program office activities including assistance with ad-hoc governance forum material production, process documentation for regulator or internal audit
Monitor and track the remediation and resolution of internal and external audit findings
Work with key stakeholders to implement and maintain AFC related processes within DWS globally, including development and alignment of respective policies, procedures, processes, and controls
Develop, implement, and maintain an AFC internal control system to monitor and manage processes and controls to prevent financial crimes including fraud, bribery, and corruption, performing tasks such as risk assessments and executing second line of defense controls
Support the development and provision of training to DWS staff on anti-financial crime topics

Our take

Deutsche Bank is one of Europe's biggest banks, operating in around 60 countries. It has a long history but hasn't struggled to keep up with the changing times. Like launching Vert, a digital payments service for small and medium businesses, and focusing on investments that are good for the environment and society.

The banks performance in 2025 has been impressive too. In the first nine months, pre-tax profit reached €7.7B (up 64% from last year) and net profit climbed to €5.6B (a 76% increase). And all business divisions delivered double-digit profit growth, supported by revenue gains and disciplined cost management.

If this wasn't impressive enough, the bank is also making strong progress in ESG, reporting €23B in sustainable financing in the third quarter of 2025 alone.
