What the job involves

We’re hiring a Senior / Staff Data Scientist to tackle high-impact problems across logistics, patient behavior, clinical operations, and population health
This is a 0→1 role where your work directly shapes how care is delivered, optimized, and scaled. You’ll turn messy, real-world healthcare data into insights that drive product direction, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes
Explore clinical, operational, and patient engagement data to surface actionable insights
Analyze routing, capacity planning, and supply-demand dynamics across regions
Identify drivers of preventive care engagement and patient follow-through
Predict cancellations, risk, and future care needs using behavioral and clinical signals
Design and evaluate A/B experiments across product, growth, and operations
Support internal teams with dashboards, analytics, and ad hoc decisions
Help shape the Data function’s standards, tooling, and processes as an early leader

Our take

Sprinter Health offers on-demand health checks and lab draws by sending nurses and phlebotomists (employed by Sprinter itself) into the home. Amongst its services are blood draws and urine samples, mobile imaging and vitals checks, as well as assistance with telehealth consultations.

The rise in remote, digital health solutions is helping to bring greater access to care, but it’s also created a need for last-mile, in-person services. Indeed, while the last year or so has actually seen a marked drop in investment into digital health, home-based care providers are still going strongly.

There’s no doubt that the Covid-19 pandemic had a lot to do with this, but it appears that the demand for in-home services is here to stay. If anything, they’re something of a throwback to decades gone by when house-calls were a regular occurrence.

Despite only emerging from stealth in late 2021, Sprinter is very well funded, and has been quickly building up its headcount in California, with a long term focus on national expansion.
