Role
Who you are
- In-depth knowledge of QA best practices, Selenium and/or Provar, and test automation
- Industry expertise: experience with the software testing process, enterprise sales and marketing, and familiarity with software development lifecycles
- Strong relationship building skills: able to build relationships of trust with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong collaboration skills: able to engage with and listen to others, adjusting communication style to suit the audience and message
- An excellent communicator and public speaker, both in writing and conversation
- Able to quickly build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds, at all levels of the organization
- Self-organized, autonomous, and motivated to succeed
- A natural leader, outspoken and committed to continuous learning and improvement
Desirable
- A bachelor's degree from a top university
- Understanding and familiarity with CI/CD concepts and popular tooling, including but not limited to Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Version Control Systems
- Working knowledge of standard HTML structure and how automation interacts with the DOM using Xpath, Labels, etc
- Experience working with REST or SOAP-based web services in a professional capacity
- In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce platform, its technologies, and industries it is associated with
- Experience and proven track record in working with Enterprise customers
- Knowledge of MEDDICC qualification framework and how to sell value
- Data driven approach: able to make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation
What the job involves
- As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will work closely with our customers to understand their needs
- You will be a strong communicator, able to build rapport with all levels of an organization, adjusting the conversation to fit your audience
- As the technical expert, you will work through the logistics of how to bring the customer’s solution to life
- You will also help to maintain competitive advantage by keeping your finger on the pulse of market and industry trends
- This is a growth role, meaning advancement into other parts of the organization (Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations) will be part of your long term career development plan
- Working with customers, prospects and partners to deliver world-class product demonstrations
- Driving all aspects of successful Proof of Values and Trials from requirements and design to training and delivery
- Providing strategic pre-sales support for sales activities including needs analysis, data review, product demonstrations and other general sales support
- Becoming an expert in the features, benefits and applications
- Communicating daily with sales team regarding sales activities and strategies
- Providing proactive support to customers and prospects
- Being the customer advocate and liaison for product management and development
- Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Collaborating with SMEs to generate thought leadership content through white papers, blogs, webinars and other content creation
- Monitoring the market, industry trends, competitors and customer needs across the quality, automated testing, and software development market to identify trends and opportunities
- Developing and managing relationships with industry influencers, analysts and analyst agencies
- Establishing and promoting QA & Best Practices amongst the team and organization
- Providing more insight and making decisions on how we Demo our products
- Hosting team meetings bi-monthly
- Being a thought leader in terms of events and webinars
- Facilitating Product & Sales meetings with product owners
- Working with team members on consolidating feedback to product and engineering
- Training new members on the team on Solution Engineer responsibilities, tasks, and processes
- Helping other members on the team grow in their roles and knowledge, our products, and sales methodologies
- Hosting daily/weekly standups with the team
