Who you are
- Extensive experience of leading technology teams
- Proven professional experience leading and managing a team of software engineers
- An in-depth, software engineering background that will allow you to quickly establish credibility with engineers
- Experience supporting product engineering teams through mentoring and coaching
- Strong knowledge and proven application of Agile approaches to drive product delivery
- Leadership skills with a proven ability to build and sustain good working relationships with staff, peers, customers and stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills supporting logical, effective, and timely decision making
- Familiarity with project management and delivery processes and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all level
What the job involves
- At Clear Channel we’re proud to be utilising the latest engineering approaches to allow us to build innovative products that meet the needs of our Digital Out of Home (DOOH) advertising customers
- As we continue to expand our engineering group we’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers within a cross-functional squad to instil best practises and develop our culture and people to become the best they can be
- You will be reporting into the Digital Director, and you will be expected to work with our cross-functional teams specifically in then UX/Design, product and DevOps squads, and stakeholders from across the company
- You’ll also be working closely with peer Engineering Managers, and your own team of Engineers
- As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our mission, leading talented engineers in creating impactful, data-driven solutions

- As an Engineering Manager, you will leading a team of engineers in a cross-functional environment, responsible to developing, deploying and supporting our products in production
- You’ll be responsible for leading the team in both the engineering and delivery of solutions that solve problems for our customers
- Acting as an SME on all things related to software engineering and will need to stay informed about the latest trends, best practices, and cutting-edge technology
- You’ll be planning, scheduling, estimating, resourcing, and ensuring consistent improvements in approach and performance of the team
- You’ll support, mentor, and coach your engineers with a passion that places people at the forefront of everything we do, and the way we do it

However, securing OOH advertisement real estate can be tough, requiring businesses to source deals and communicate with commercial landlords & local authorities.
Clear Channel partners with commercial landlords, infrastructure providers, and local authorities to offer seamless advertisement experiences to its clients. The company focuses on offering digital billboards and posters, providing five different models depending on the campaign scale.
Whilst Clear Channel will face stiff competition from other UK-based OOH media owners, the company has been smart to form partnerships with commercial landlords and other relevant parties, acting as a middleman.
