Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a SaaS or international setting with a focus on AR and VAT
- Proficient in accounting software (NetSuite) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Strong understanding of VAT regulations and cross-border tax considerations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong affinity with technology and software as well as first ERP (enterprise resource planning) experience (Netsuite, SAP, Dynamics)
- Highly organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- International mindset and good English language skills

- As our Accountant Specialist, you will be a vital part of our end-to-end accounts receivable processes
- You will ensure accurate and efficient accounts receivable management while navigating VAT and sales tax considerations for our European (Austria and UK) and US entities
- Beyond accounts receivable, including dunning and invoicing, you’ll engage in general bookkeeping, financial reporting, and strategic projects that shape our financial future
- Your expertise will directly support our mission to revolutionize content management and deliver exceptional experiences for mid-market and enterprise clients across our core EMEA and AMER markets
- Oversee end-to-end accounts receivable operations, including billing, managing payments and dunning, and handling customer requests and portals
- Maintain a strong focus on VAT compliance and sales tax reporting for European and US entities, ensuring all tax regulations are met and properly documented
- Perform ongoing bookkeeping, leading up to the preparation of monthly financial statements. Handle accrual accounting, amortizations, revenue recognition, and foreign currency valuation
- Issue invoices, lead the dunning process, and manage customer and vendor form submissions
- Coordinate, analyze, and evaluate balance sheet accounts, managing reconciliations, revenue recognition and provisions with accuracy
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements at year-end, contributing to audit readiness and overall financial compliance
- Participate in financial projects to enhance and streamline processes, updating documentation to support continuous improvement
- Understanding of foreign currency valuation and management of provisions
- Solid understanding of accrual accounting, amortizations and revenue recognition
Our take
A headless content management system (CMS) consists of a back-end that stores the content and a decoupled front-end display. This lets the content be streamed to any platform including apps, wearable devices or digital displays via an API. Compared to the other headless CMS solutions, Storyblok’s CMS provides highly customisable content blocks and visual editing tools. This gives developers the flexibility to build fast and reliable digital platforms. It is the first headless CMS to integrate such features into a modern headless architecture.
The company counts Pizza Hut, Adidas, UPC, Greggs and Decathlon amongst clients, alongside many thousands of solo developers that use their CMS. These are powering more than 74,000 projects across 130 countries.
Storyblok intends to use its new funding to expand its presence in the USA after its previous round accelerated expansion in key European markets including Germany and Ireland.
