Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant in a fast-paced, tech-driven, VC, and/or like environment
- Expertise in managing executives' calendars and international travel coordination
- Strong skills in calendar management and international travel coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and travel booking platforms
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; adaptable to changing priorities
- Strong communication skills for engaging with global teams
- High professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Ability to make quick decisions with minimal direction
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Mandarin or Korean is a plus
What the job involves
- Seeking an Executive Assistant to support senior leadership by managing complex scheduling across the U.S. and Asia, coordinating international travel, handling expense management, and overseeing administrative tasks
- The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams while acting as a liaison with internal teams and external partners
- Oversee complex scheduling across U.S. and Asia time zones for executives
- Responsibilities also include organizing meetings, maintaining records, and ensuring confidentiality with a high level of professionalism
- Arrange international travel, including flights, hotels, and transportation for business trips
- Manage business expenses and records of travel, ensuring accurate tracking and submission of timely expenses
- Handle administrative/project tasks such as document preparation, meeting coordination, and action item follow-ups
- Act as a liaison between executives, internal teams, and/or external partners to arrange meetings, book off-site events, manage schedules and provide assistance as tasked
- Coordinate virtual and in-person meetings, preparing agendas, materials and preparation
- Provide administrative support on a project basis as needed to executive staff
Our take
More electric vehicles are now sold each week than in an entire year a decade ago. This large-scale pivot to EV has led to an equally huge surge in demand for batteries. This has created a major issue, as production of the increasingly popular lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery is dominated by China, which produces around two thirds of the world’s LFP battery components.
Mitra Chem is attempting to disrupt this supply chain dominance by manufacturing iron-based cathodes for LFP batteries in North America. Launched in 2021, the startup’s timing couldn't have been much better. As geopolitical and climate issues affect the production of traditionally popular cobalt and nickel based batteries, the likes of Tesla, Ford and General Motors have been ramping up their LFP use and partnering with home-based cell factories.
The conditions for fast growth look favorable for Mitra Chem, and fresh from a major Series B fundraise led by GM, the company could be on the verge of a significant scale up.
