Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of experience working with simulation or mechanical design engineering tools
- Experience in interacting with end-customers as an application engineer or a developer
- An acute attention to detail and an execution focused mindset
- Strong communication skills and focus on solving customer problems
- Proficiency in debugging and working with Python/C++/Linux
- Familiarity with best practices in large scale software development
- Experience in QA and wants to grow their customer facing and engineering skills
- Applicants will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment
Desirable
- Prior background in application engineering for simulation products
- Experience working with automotive OEMs or suppliers
- Prior work in autonomous vehicle or robotics development domains
- Prior work in software simulation
- Experience with simulation software tooling
What the job involves
- We are looking for bright engineers interested in becoming power users of Applied’s products to support and educate Applied’s global customers
- Our Product Specialists have a unique mix of engineering tools expertise, domain knowledge, and execution driven mindset
- Using these skills, our engineers work closely with autonomy developers to ensure that Applied’s products are providing maximum impact to advance customers autonomy initiatives
- This is an important role for the company bringing together our product and engineering expertise with our customer-centric culture
- Become experts in using Applied’s products to meet customer use cases
- Manage and organize customer requests and feedback about Applied’s products
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to guide product development direction based on customer feedback
- Develop, execute, and contribute to proof of concepts, demonstrations, and product-training for customers
